The WEEE Directive aims to reduce the amount of electrical and electronic equipment being produced and to encourage everyone to reuse, recycle and recover it.
The WEEE Directive also aims to improve the environmental performance of businesses that manufacture, supply, use, recycle and recover electrical and electronic equipment.
The UK Cook Shop are members of the Distributor Take-back Scheme (DTS) run by Valpak. This means we paying a yearly fee to Valpak towards the cost of recycling Electrical goods in the UK and do not take goods back in store. You should take your items to you local WEEE recycling point.

According to the WEEE Regulations new electrical goods are now marked with a crossed out wheelie bin symbol to indicate that they were manufactured after 13th August 2005. If your item was made before this date then it should be disposed of via the normal household waste then they can be recycled.
